Brain, fear, logic and analysis of an article!

I read a fantastic article on Project Syndicate. The link is given at the end of this paragraph.
The article deals with how humans deal with fear and how our brain is structured too. Though that is not the focal point, I came to know about it from the article.

What point I am trying to make here is that, being a  programmer or a person from software engineering background, the comprehension of the article was made more interesting! Yes, that is because the article stressed on how the logic of fear is developed in the brain. It is quite analogous to coding! Programmers too have to develop a logic FROM SCRATCH, and consider ALL conditions and contingency. Hence, I was wondering how would anyone replicate the logic of fear that our human brain has developed.

Our brain is surely programmed by some awesome coder, it is a creation of a zillion lines of codes put in over years and years of improvement. The very fact that the connections to and fro to the amygdala are not symmetric itself speaks a thousand words of the structure called 'brain'. This very fact- is such a complex and intriguing fact that it leaves room for more questions rather than answers. Similarly, a small patch of code, which may seam mundane or ordinary can actually make or break the software!

After reading the article, if you are from software background, you will surely understand what I mean!
